This is a follow up to the post I put up earlier asking for anyone’s help as a model for my comic book project “The Root of Pleasure”. In this post I just want to share the basic summary and introduction the story, give some insight on the many characters that are involved, as well as what I would ask of any person willing and able to be a model for the character designs. I want the comic itself to have a very real feel, so I ask all of you to be my inspiration for the characters, rather than just reference the same kinds of bodies from life drawing sites or otherwise. 

The story. It is a scifi/adventure thriller with romance and erotica. It all revolves around a mysterious cave that’s existed for as long as anyone can remember. Throughout the years, it has been said that anyone who enters this cave is doomed never to return. The problem is that anyone who hasn’t come back has been sought after, to a degree, as most are afraid to traverse very far into the cave. Any search party that entered, did so with a line attached at each persons waist leading a 1000 foot length that met with another member on the other side, in an effort to minimize anyone from going missing. Any search performed came up with no results and no remains to prove any deaths. 

We are now in the present as a pair of archeologists, quench the thirst that they’ve attained from researching the mysteries around this cave. They travel together in hopes of finding any clue that might help them dig deeper into solving this cave’s mystery. They follow suit and one goes in line attached while the other waited holding the other end with high hopes. After considerable time and worry the outside archeologist pulls the line to find that it has drag, maybe stating that the other person is on their way out. He pulls and pulls the line to a point where he finds it has been unattached from his friend, who is now missing. 

The archeologist gathers and hires a team of adventurers of all sorts to join him on his quest inside the cave with no promise of coming out alive. This team consists of :  The male archeologist (to be named), a female scientist/geologist, a couple that are thrill hunters/treasure seekers, and a male mercenary hired as mostly protection for his tracking abilities. All these characters are yet to be named. 

Without giving away too much detail and too much of the story, I will give you a brief description of the immediate events to follow to help better illustrate the characters I will be needing models for. 

The cave, in actuality, is this long maze like entrance to an underground world/city that has existed for years. Along the path in the cave are many small villages that cater to specific functions for the continued growth of said world/city. In this alternate/dystopian world things run slightly different to above ground. The males are considered to be the maintainers. They tend to the technology, agriculture, policing, and general maintanence for the city. The females or born with the duty and inherited right to become guardian scouts. This role trains them from about the age of 18 to 21 in order to protect and scout for the city. They protect the entrance from invaders and or perform the trials necessary to gauge ones worthiness to be integrated into the new world. This ritual is also performed in order to find a mate appropriate to help repopulate the city, as to negate any chance of incest or too closely related genes. When a person is worthy the scout who chooses them may bear child and relieve herself of her scoutly duties to join society as a mother and contributor to society. 

For anyone interested I will be more than happy to elaborate on plot, story, etc to answer any questions you may have. 

The characters I am casting for and am hoping for models for are as follows :

The female scientist/geologist

The couple adventurers/treasure hunters

The male mercenary

The female guardian scouts

at least 10 to 12 

A head female scout 

3 female scout trainers

5 male and 5 female general characters for the inner city 

5 cover models ( to start)
